Drumroll, please…

flowers for the dead kindle format 01

So here it is, the brand, spanking new cover of my up-coming novel, FLOWERS FOR THE DEAD. I hope you agree that Paul Humphreys has done an incredible job. He’s such a joy to to work with, and I’m so lucky to live with such a talented artist – how amazing is it that we can sit side-bye-side to create this, and not have a single grumpy exchange.

I love the solidity of the words, which look like stone statues, and the delicate movement of the petals blowing across them as the flowers themselves fade and die. As this is a crime novel, I didn’t want anything that looked romantic, which would be such an easy route to go down with anything flowery. I think this has got it spot on, and even the climbing flowers wrapping around the ‘F’ seem to be clinging to it and choking it.

I’d really love to know what you think. I’m so proud and excited to be sharing this image with you!
