Charity book auctions running now! Get a gift for yourself & for charity #booktwitter #readingco

If you’re looking for an unusual book-related gift for someone this Christmas (or perhaps want a trade for yourself!) then check out the book auctions taking place RIGHT NOW!

First let me tell you about the Everyday Kindness auction. It’s taking place over on Facebook, and every day there is a new bookish item up for grabs from best-selling authors – for example it might be having a character named after you in a book, or a mentoring session for your own writing with a top author, or a signed and dedicated book. Each item is only available for just 24 hours, from 8am to 8am GMT, so you have to act fast when you see something you want! The highest bidder gets the item. Best of all? The money raised goes direct to Shelter, the homeless charity.

The Kindness Auction is supported by the contributing authors of Everyday Kindness: A collection of uplifting tales to brighten your day. All proceeds from the book and auction will be donated to Shelter, a charity that helps millions of people a year struggling with bad housing or homelessness. You can find out more about Shelter here: https://www.shelter.org.uk/

TODAY it’s my turn to offer an auction item – a signed copy of THE GIRL IN THE MISSING POSTER – so please consider making a bid and helping to change someone’s life. Every penny raised by the auction goes to charity. Just click here to go to the post.

There’s also a second fabulous charity auction going on now – so if you miss out on the first, don’t worry. The Children in Read auction features books from hundreds of authors, and all you have to do to get a signed and dedicated copy of your favourite is to make the highest bid. All proceeds from this go to the BBC Children in Need charity. THE GIRL IN THE MISSING POSTER is just one of many books on offer, so why not have a look for yourself by clicking here.
