HAVING STEEPED myself in the sedate but surprisingly fascinating world of the meaning and language of flowers for weeks now, I have now moved on to locks, surveillance, and the art of stalking. Frankly, I am completely freaking myself out with my research for book two.
I love being a writer. It is great having all these weird scenarios pop into my head. The journalist in me revels in then checking just how possible these things actually are – and if they aren’t, is it really that big a leap from fact to fiction. What scares me is how often I come up with something mad, look into it, and discover it’s really, really easy to do.
I can’t really say much else without giving things away, but once my second book is finally out I will share some of my research with you on this site.
And I hope reading my novel scares you as much as researching it has me…
