Listening to The Thursday Murder Club, by Richard Osman, while walking my dogs made a fool of me – I kept laughing out loud! This cosy crime is a rare gem of a book, with wonderful characters who felt like friends; rich emotional intelligence; a plot that refused to be pinned down as it twisted and turned; and gentle humour that had me chuckling, alongside touching moments of sadness that brought a tear to my eyes. This is a great mystery, but also great entertainment. I loved it!
